why is this? its not like i'm going to need to carry my keys or my wallet to bed. and like women need pockets in the first place. i learned an unfortunate life lesson recently that you should NOT carry your cell phone in your back pocket - cause it can fall in the toilet and that's bad for the health of the cell phone. as long as we're on the subject of clothing, why is everything at the gap so expensive? all of their clothes are made in bangladesh or sri lanka (not that there's anything wrong with the fine people of these countries). and truly, since when do you want to know the 'wash story' of your jeans.
i know my few readers have been anticipating pics from the double-decker bus tour; well, i haven't gone on it yet. there's been a mini-sand storm here for the last couple of days and the weather has been less than pleasant. the breeze is swell, but not when you get a bucket of desert thrown in your face along with it. so, to kill time, i've been cooking (beef enchilada casserole) and shopping (unbelievable, right?). i got the casserole recipe from a complimentary cookbook we received from the 'liwa home center' where jeff and i have been purchasing miscellaneous tchotchkes for our pet-free apartment. every time we go there, they try to push another cookbook on us. each time, i've said i already possess one of these fabulous 'recipes from around the world' cookbooks. today, the girl said i could give them to my friends and i told her i didn't have any friends. she tried to work up some crocodile tears for me, but i knew her pity was false.
wow! sam champion, my favorite gma weatherman, says dallas is getting pummeled by snow and ice right now. sounds cozy.
took two taxis today; to the mall and back. one driver was from nepal and the other was from clown world. mr. nepal was quite talkative - he wanted to know where i was from and if i have an iphone. he offered to jailbreak it for me but i figured that would be a serious distraction from his driving and declined. driver number two had the worst dye job i've ever seen (on his hair and full beard) and he smelled like a camel's armpit (not that i've ever been that close to a camel, but i can imagine they don't smell like a victoria's secret store). this guy's hair was bright red (like bozo), and it looked like it had been sprayed on. also, he must have felt it was time for an accident cause he attempted to take on a land rover, but swerved back in his lane in time to avoid being side-swiped.
what there is too much of here: ryan seacrest and guiliana rancik. every other commercial is for e! news.
will attempt the bus tour tomorrow and will hopefully have some cool pics. we're going to muscat, oman next week, so will definitely have some great shots from there.
oh my gosh; we went to the bank this morning to add me to the account here. that's a mini-story for the next blog.

the living room in our apt (groovy curtains, huh?):

Yes...it is freakin' cold here! Something like 19 now, but it's okay. It's going to only get colder.
Love the ottoman. Turks are nice too.
Tell Jeff to smile! :o)
